Homage to Lady Chatterley’s Lover.

Two poems from my current collection, a homage to D.H. Lawrence, which by the way, have been rejected by my publishers.

Poem 1:

We must go now, out in’t  ter  pouring rain

Bollock naked in the wooded glade

Except fer our wellies

And I will hold you wet me dear

And whisper into yer dampish ear

The words yer often like to hear

Aye up, aye up, aye up me duck

Does me lady want ter fuck.

Poem 2:

I took ter keepers’ life ‘cause I wer a loner

But you my lady keeps givin us a boner

Its all them daisies and forget me nots

That thou keeps winding round me knob

Undaunted by rejection I am now working on my next collection.

  1. Ha, I love it! Keep trying. At high school in the 60’s our dear sweet English teacher used to rant and rave that the Australian government censor had the stupidity to ban the very book she wanted us to study and implored us to read if we could get a copy.
